Woman Found Dead In Apartment Ruled A Murder

A woman found dead inside of an apartment complex on the 4800 block of South Alameda has been ruled a Murder by the Nueces County Medical Examiners Office.

It was on May 26, 2021 around 2 a.m. when police were dispatched to the Sterling Apartments by a man that had found a body in his bed. The man had told police he had been in jail for several weeks and when he got home, he found a body that was decomposing in his bed.

32 year old Emily Walthers found murdered on May 26, 2021 inside of an apartment at 4848 South Alameda.

According to the Nueces County Medical Examiners Office, the woman found deceased has been identified as 32 year old Emily Walthers and her death has been ruled a homicide. No further information on what foul play was involved, but this case is still being investigated by the Corpus Christi Police Department. No arrests have been made.
