U.S. Marshals shot and killed unarmed Hispanic man on West Point Road

A Corpus Christi, Texas family says that U.S. Marshals shot and killed their family member on the 1450 block West Point Road at approximately 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday, October 5, 2021.

The family has identified him as 43 year old Daniel Garcia also known as “Pigpin”. Family says that Garcia was working as maintenance at the Wispering Winds Apartments, formerly known as Cliff Maus. Daniel Garcia was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

43 year old Daniel Garcia was shot and killed by U.S. Marshals after an arrest warrant was in place at Whispering Wind Apartments.

Witnesses at the scene say they saw a unmarked SUV bump the back of the primered older model Suburban and than another unmarked vehicle smashed the front end that Daniel was driving as he was exiting the apartment complex. The Garcia family showed up to the scene immediately after in distress.

One resident at the apartment complex nearby says that a bullet went through his apartment. Another man witnessed the collision of the unmarked vehicles to stop the SUV that Garcia was driving and says he saw they shot the man multiple times.
