Two women shot dead at Windrush shows signs of premeditation

The two women who were found shot dead at Windrush Apartments on the 4300 block of Kostoryz Road has been ruled a double homicide and shows signs of premeditation. The suspected murderer is now wanted and is missing.

The deaths of Micaela Sudell and Erica Larracuente happened between Mothers Day and 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2022 when the bodies were found deceased by police. Micaela Sudell’s mother called police for a welfare check after she failed to call her mother on her birthday, which was on Friday the 13th.

At this point there is currently no motive for the murder. Early indications appear of premidation due to a man seen on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 spray painting another residents surveillance camera around 7:20 a.m. The surveillance camera also captured the last time the murdered couples vehicle, a Kia Sorrento, was last seen in the parking lot.

The Kia Sorrento was missing the day the bodies were found dead. The vehicle was found later that evening in the Molina neighborhood.

According to a family member of Erica Larracuente, the apartment she stayed in was broken into approximately a month ago. The family member says Erica posted a photo and video on her social media story that deleted after 24 hours of display.

Both families for the women found shot dead have been devastated and heartbroken of the news.

Officers and a maintenance worker who arrived to the apartment complex to conduct a welfare check found one body near the entry doorway with lots of blood around spattered. The other body was found in the rear bedroom.

Currently, there is not a good description of the suspect from camera footage and police have not released any names at this time.
