Two women found dead inside Windrush Apartments identified

The Crónica has identified two women who were found dead inside of a apartment at Windrush Apartments on Kostoryz Road.

The bodies of Micaela Sudell and Erica Larracuente were found around noon at the Windrush Apartments in the 4300 block of Kostoryz Road, near the intersection of Horne Road.

The manner and cause of death is pending, but the Corpus Christi Police Department crime scene van was on scene and treating the death as a homicide investigation.

According to sources, the mother of Micaela Sudell called police for a welfare check because she hadn’t spoke to her daughter since Mother’s Day. The mother says she became concerned when her daughter didn’t call her on her birthday, which was on Friday the 13th.

Police have not provided any information on what happened, but one resident says there was lots of blood in the door entry of the apartment in what looked like an horrendous murder due to blood spatter.

Another resident says the vehicle of the couple who were found dead was missing when police began to investigate on Saturday afternoon, but their camera footage shows unidentified man who spray painted their surveillance camera in the early morning hours of Tuesday, May 10, 2022. The Kia Sorrento was last seen on camera footage that evening.
