Three men arrested after man hit, killed by vehicle on Koepke Street

At approximately 12:03 pm on Thursday, June 9, 2022 officers were dispatched to the 2500 block of Koepke reference a possible accident.

Upon arrival, officers located 64-year-old Don McCullough with critical injuries, McCullough was later pronounced deceased.

During the preliminary investigation, homicide investigators learned that an altercation escalated to an assault, leaving the male unresponsive. The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle prior to officers arriving.

On June 10, 2022 Investigators with our Homicide/Robbery Unit secured three murder warrants for 18-year-old Romeo Salinas, 17-year-old Aaron Moreno and 19-year-old Santiago Paz.

At approximately 1:35 am on June 11, 2022, officers with the Corpus Christi Gang Unit were able to locate the whereabouts of Salinas.

Salinas was taken into custody without incident and later transported to the City Detention Center for processing.

Aaron Moreno

Moreno and Paz were served in the Nueces County Jail, as they were being held on unrelated charges.

Santiago Paz

Each were booked on a separate Murder Warrant ($500,000 bond), all three are being held at the Nueces County Jail.
