Shortly after 11 p.m. on Sunday the Corpus Christi Police Department were dispatched to a shooting. The caller notified dispatchers that they were driving to Driscoll Children’s Hospital after one person was shot inside of a Nissan sedan. Police arrived to the hospital and witnessed one person running inside the hospital with a shot female victim with a bullet hole in the driver’s side windshield.
After a brief investigation, police were told the shooting happened at the intersection of Ayers Street and Holly Road. Several witnessed told police that the shooter was driving a older white Chevy pickup truck with black graphics on the side. Police completely shut down the intersection of Ayers and Holly and collected shell casings.
The suspect is currently at large and police spent the night searching for the vehicle that went down Ayers Street towards Saratoga Boulevard. The condition of both victims are currently unknown.
