Fire Fighters rescue trapped woman in rollover crash on McArdle Road

On Thursday, July 15, 2021 at approximately 2:40 p.m. the Corpus Christi Fire Department were called to a major two vehicle accident on McArdle Road between Airline and Staples Street for a woman that was trapped in Ford Explorer SUV.

When fire fighters arrived they determined the SUV wasn’t stable for rescuers to start the process of extracting the woman. Firefighters used special devices to prevent the vehicle from rolling over any further and began to remove the roof top of the SUV to gain access to the woman.

After several minutes, fire fighters were able to gain access the woman ans transport her to a local hospital. No word on what caused the accident, but fortunately the woman was still conscious and breathing in serious condition.
