The family of a 1 year little girl injured is asking the public for prayers after she was found unconscious and unresponsive at the Latitude Apartments on the 6400 block of Weber Road and Saratoga Boulevard shortly after 3 p.m.

When police and medics arrived on the scene they found 1 year old Jesselle Lopez not breathing and unconscious. Jesselle Lopez was rushed to a local hospital while paramedics performed CPR.

According to police, they are investigating the incident as a injury of a child and more charges may brought on the male subject who was arrested at the scene. During the incident, police found another child inside of the apartment unit around the age of 3.

Condition of the 1 year old Girl Injured
As for the condition of baby Jesselle Lopez, her aunt, Samantha Perales says that Jesselle’s heart stopped and doctors have placed her on a ventilator. The injuries of the child consists of a fractured skull and cut on the leg. The Lopez family is asking for prayers from the community. The aunt also says that the mother has kept the biological father from the child and that her father is currently out of state on a job site and is working feverishly to get on a plane back to Corpus Christi.
Man Arrested At The Scene

The male subject arrested by police for injury of a child hasn’t been disclosed by police but the aunt says the man goes by the name of Mark Anthony Hernandez.
