A driver crashes through apartments and snaps power line on the intersection of Weber Road and Holly Road shortly after 2:30 a.m. Saturday.
According to witnesses the driver was traveling at a high rate of speed west bound on Holly Road where the driver blew past a red light losing control at the intersection snapping a light pole completely in half and wrecking into the Christi Estates apartments.
No one was injured inside of the apartments that were damaged and the condition of the driver is unknown. Police did speak with the driver via cell phone, but was reluctant in returning back to the scene.
The damage of the light pole is expected to be fixed by AEP within 4-6 hours. It is unclear if the driver will face any charges for fleeing the scene.
