At approximately 9:53 p.m. on Thursday, police were dispatched to a bicyclist who was struck by a vehicle on Holly Road near the intersection of Weber Road. When paramedics arrived they found a teenager unresponsive near the bike lane on Holly Road.
According to a woman who was at the scene, who rendered aid to the teenage victim, says she was traveling east bound on Holly Road when she was flagged down by two other bicyclist who were traveling with victim on the bike lane. When the witness arrived, she says that the victim was unresponsive and immediately began chest compressions after feeling the victims pulse. The victim was rushed to a local hospital with severe head injuries.
The driver of the vehicle who struck the teenager was followed by another vehicle who witnessed the accident into the HEB parking lot on Weber Road. The front windshield was broken and all the airbags inside the black Nissan SUV were deployed.
As for the condition of the teenage victim, doctors stated that he had a low pulse and was in grave condition.
