The San Patricio County Sherriff’s Offfice is investigating a case where one man was fatally shot dead, another man shot, and another man stabbed during an altercation in Taft, Texas on Monday 31, 2022.
Arounf 5:25 p.m., Taft Police were dispatched to 3 calls of a stabbing and shooting on the 600 block of Mary Street. When police arrived they found one man dead from a gunshot wound inside of a home identified as 35 year old Joshua Perez.
Another man found on Davis Street, was rushed to a hospital for a stab wound and was last declared to be in critical condition. The man was stabbed at the same home where the deceased man was found. The stabbing victim has been identifed as 36 year old Moses Torres.
According to San Patricio County Sheriff Oscar Rivera, the trailer home belonged to Rudy Rivera who was out on $100,000 bond for a drive by shooting that happened on Elm Street. The drive by created a fire that burned down four homes back in July 2021. Moses Torres was also out on $80,000 bond for the same aggravated assault with a deadly weapon incident.
Sheriff Oscar Rivera believes 35 years old Rudy Rivera was shot in yesterdays incident, but he is still outstanding and the sheriff is asking the public for your help in finding him. This case is currently under investigation.
